Facilitation and Consulting Support to Build Buy-in and Implement Change
Once you identify what to do, the next challenge is to get people and the organization to change. SSNE's experience and skill in personal and organizational change offer what you need:

  • Training in Strategic Questioning a powerful tool for visioning, building buy-in, and using creativity to respond rapidly to serious challenges
  • Design and optimization of management systems to ensure effective implementation
  • Facilitation of Strategic Conversations to bring together all the people needed to solve complex systems-level problems.

Facilitation/Consulting
Many of the challenges that impact an organization's long term success are bigger than any one organization can solve on its own, such as bias toward short term thinking and results, declines in workforce quality, energy supplies and distribution, sprawl and regional growth, etc. We facilitate multi-stakeholder Strategic Conversations that co-create comprehensive solutions to address these large scale challenges. For example, for the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund, SSNE convened and facilitated a dialogue on barriers and opportunities for siting wind and biomass electric power generation facilities among 27 of the region's leading environmental organizations. Our work clarified what needed to be done to address the concerns of these organizations (so they could support specific power plant development instead of opposing them), developed research areas to be addressed and strategies for NGO and public education on this issue.

John V. Anderson, Chief Technology Officer for the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund said:
"Over the past year the SSNE has demonstrated a quick grasp of the issues, an ability to stay focused on the real problems, and an ability to find consensus among competing interests. These characteristics have made them an invaluable ally in our efforts to develop green power markets here in New England."
