SSNE shares its Roundtable Dialogue Program with Other Organizations

SSNE shares its Seminar Series and Roundtable Dialogue programs with other organizations.
You can download two RFPs describing the SSNE Roundtable and Seminar programs we want to give away to like-minded organizations with high potential.  If you know of, or are involved with, an organization that you feel would make a likely home, please contact Jim Marret, SSNE Board Chair jimmarett@yahoo.com.  We will pick up the ball from there, and work with the organization to determine if a fit exists.

History of Facilitation of Roundtable Dialogues

We believe that the current paradigm of litigation, partisanship, and competing special interests is expensive, counter-productive and not capable of meeting the challenges we face, such as climate change, degradation of natural resources like fisheries, inequality in the benefits of globalization. We need ways of making decisions that are up to the complexity and nature of these challenges - that tap the best of our collective wisdom creating win-win solutions so that the systems work for everyone.

SSNE designs and facilitates dialogue processes that convene multiple parties to generate positive solutions for change. We gather many of the parties together to explore the dynamics of the system and begin to see their role in it. The tone is collaborative and creative. We use sustainability principles as a way to frame open questions – such as how could we site more renewable energy capacity in our region? What would it take to move in that direction?
